Narineh Khemichian, Psy.D.

Board Chair

Dr. Narineh Khemichian is the lead School Psychologist for the Glendale Unified School District. She has practiced school psychology for the past 22 years, serving both the educational and mental health needs of students from preschool to age twenty-two with a strong interest in adolescent psychology. Narineh is deeply committed to student/parent advocacy and is skilled in bringing diverse people together to work as a cohesive team.  She has expertise in threat assessment and crisis intervention and is particularly gifted in mentoring school psychologists and supporting school teams with complex student needs. Her highly effective professional development trainings are well regarded not only for their practicality but for offering her team of psychologists an opportunity to stay informed of best-practice models to ensure high quality service to students and families. By tying in her skills and talents with her personal purpose, Narineh is able to make a lasting impact on the people and communities she so passionately serves. Her warmth belies her fierce commitment to ensuring the delivery of appropriate mental health services, accurate educational evaluations, and  targeted interventions while being a strong advocate for the most voiceless students.

Lilit (Lilly) M. Rosenberg, M.A., LEP

Board Vice Chair

Lilit (Lilly) Mkrtchyan Rosenberg is a veteran school psychologist practicing in the field for 22 years. A former continuation high school Psychologist, Lilly is particularly gifted in bringing even most disenfranchised students to the table, restoring both self-worth and agency in marginalized teen populations. She has experience serving the needs of students at all grade levels. Lilly has expertise in learning disabilities such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, and attentional disorders. She is also highly skilled in working with students with autism and emotional disturbances. Lilly has been a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) since 2010. Her career has spanned both public and private sectors. She is known in the field for conducting legally defensible psychoeducational evaluations based on current research. Lilly’s gift also lies in her balanced approach to helping families understand their children's learning and mental health needs, guiding them through their journey to acceptance and empowering them to navigate the special education process.

Lori Geuvjehizian, M.A., NCSP

Treasurer

Lori Geuvjehizian has been a practicing school psychologist for the last 12 years. She has been working for the La Canada Unified School District for the past 10 years. Over the course of her time at LCUSD, she has worked with all grade levels ranging from preschool to high school. She enjoys working collaboratively with school teams to better support children and families. Lori is continuously interested in learning more about social-emotional development and wellness. She has been trained in crisis intervention, behavior analysis, and social thinking. She attendants several conferences and workshops a year to keep up with the most up-to-date research to better serve her students and community.


Anait (Ana) Aydinian, M.A., Ed.S.

Secretary

Ana Aydinian has been a practicing school psychologist for the last 10 years. She has served as the high school psychologist at La Canada High School since 2012, conducting comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and supporting the emotional and social needs of students through counseling services. Ana is a strong advocate for the mental health and educational needs of all students. She prides herself in working closely and collaboratively with families, teachers, students and service providers to ensure all students’ educational, social and emotional needs are met. Ana's passion is conducting counseling and working individually with students. Her empathetic, accepting, and caring nature allows teens to feel at ease and comfortable to share the distress they may be experiencing in their personal lives. She is skilled in guiding students to challenge their inner critic, practice self-acceptance, cope with pressure to succeed, and learn how to be resilient when managing life stressors.

Fimi Haddadian, M.S.

Advisor


Fimi Haddadian has been a practicing school psychologist for 20 years. Fimi brings an extraordinary poise and dignity to all that she does. She has worked at Glendale Unified School District specializing in preschool and latency aged children. In this capacity, she is known for conducting comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations and providing mental health supports with very young students. Fimi is the resident social-emotional learning expert for early childhood and has developed and implemented evidence-based social-emotional learning curriculum at the preschool level. Fimi is the co-founder of Bluejack Kids, A Center for Social and Emotional Learning through which she offers a digital media platform of social emotional learning videos and lesson plans designed for the classroom setting. She is particularly adroit at introducing first time parents to the ins and outs of special education. In addition, Fimi is the author of an Armenian language children's book on bullying called "Zis Hankisd Tsketsek."

Tagui (Tina) Balasanyan, M.S., LEP

Advisor

Tagui (Tina) Balasanyan has served ten years as a school psychologist at a multi-racial, multi-ethnic comprehensive public high school in a suburb of Los Angeles. She is a valuable member of the multidisciplinary team and provides comprehensive evaluations and support to students struggling academically, socially and behaviorally. Tina has been a key member in facilitating social emotional learning at her school by building community through restorative practices. As a trained Restorative Justice facilitator, Tina continues to support and complement school initiatives and uses these strategies to positively impact school culture, discipline and academic needs. Tina is known for her approachability and is popular with both students, parents, teachers and staff. She is sought after to provide individual counseling/guidance and crisis intervention. Her knowledge of her community is both broad and granular and she is a master at connecting parents to community services/resources. Under Tina’s cheerful, unflappable nature is a fierce advocate for students.

Telma Arakelian, M.S., Ed.S.

Communications & Public Relations

Telma Arakelian has been a school psychologist at Crescenta Valley High School in the Glendale Unified School District for 3 years. She is someone who has made it a point to return to her own high school to serve her own community. She intrinsically understands the unique social and academic pressures of the high achieving, college bound high school. She is currently an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and is working on becoming a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Telma has also worked closely with grades K-12 in both regular and modified settings. Telma is a bridge person uniting a multi-disciplinary team. She provides comprehensive evaluations and support for students who struggle academically, socially and behaviorally. In addition, Telma has an Instagram account devoted to the world of School Psychology, where she connects with school psychologists, school counselors, therapists, and mentors all over the world.

Annet S. Goodside, M.A., BCBA, LEP

Diplomate, American Board of School Neuropsychology

Board Advisor

Annet Safarian Goodside has practiced school psychology for the past 22 years serving students from preschool to high school. She has also been a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) since 2005. In 2007, she became a Diplomate in American Board of School Neuropsychology. She received training in Social Thinking in 2011 and is a Social Thinking Mentor, which has been an effective tool for helping students with challenges in understanding social nuances. Annet is currently pursuing further education to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). These additional trainings have been crucial in her ability to understand the neurological relationship between brain and behavior, and has given her the expertise to dive deeper into students’ information processing skills, executive functioning, as well as social-emotional and behavioral functioning when conducting comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations. She is known for her compassion, thoroughness,  and her remarkable attention to detail.


Anna Page, Psy.D., LEP, BCBA

Board Advisor

Anna has been a practicing school psychologist for the past 12 years, working with students, families and educators at the secondary, elementary and preschool levels. She is also a Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Anna is passionate about celebrating cultural and linguistic diversity and social emotional learning in the Armenian-American diaspora. She advocates for neurodiverse practices by providing professional development trainings, conducting psychoeducational evaluations, and assisting in creating equitable educational programs for all students. Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, she enjoys music and art with her two young children and husband.


Talin Pratt, Psy.D., LEP

Board Advisor

Talin Pratt has been a School Psychologist at Jurupa Unified School District in Riverside County, California for 10 years. She currently serves elementary and middle school students and families. Dr. Pratt is also Principal of Talin Pratt & Associates, LLC, where she works fundamentally to develop workshops, seminars and educational trainings to a variety of audiences. Dr. Pratt has worked in education for over 20 years. She has experience as a paraeducator, teacher and most recently, as a school psychologist. For the past 5 years, Dr. Pratt has also been an adjunct instructor at Azusa Pacific University's School Counseling and School Psychology program. She prides herself in continuously learning to provide the most up-to-date methods in addressing her clients' needs. Dr. Pratt obtained her Master's of Arts degree in School Psychology from Alliant International University. She also obtained her Doctorate of Psychology in Educational Psychology from the same university. Dr. Pratt has extensive experience in working with children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and learning difficulties. Dr. Pratt's passions include helping other professionals grow in their respective fields, by offering them opportunities to learn, expand and pursue their vision with diversity, equity and kindness for all. She is a mother to her three children, Cortland, Wilhelmina and Baron.
